What is Broadcast Status?

Broadcast Status refers to the current state or progress of a broadcast message sent via Meta (e.g., WhatsApp Business API). Each message can go through several stages depending on delivery, user interaction, or technical issues.

Sent

The message has been successfully sent from the platform to Meta (e.g., WhatsApp servers). However, it has not yet been delivered to the end-user's device.

Delivered

The message has successfully reached the end-user’s device, but it has not been opened/read yet.

Read

The message has been delivered and opened/read by the end-user. This is only tracked if the end-user has read receipts enabled.

Failed

The message could not be delivered due to an error. Common reasons include user blocking the business, expired message window, or technical/network issues.

Failed after Delivered

The message was delivered to the user’s device but failed to display properly in the system due to unexpected technical issues (e.g., metadata mismatch or broken render on user's device).
